Boca Raton Regional Hospital is a not-for-profit, advanced tertiary medical center with 400 beds, 19,700 admissions, 180,000 outpatient visits and over 40,000 ER visits per year. BRRH is a recognized leader in Cardiovascular Care, Oncology, Women’s Health, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine and the Neurosciences, all of which offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and imaging capabilities.

The Marcus Neuroscience Institute, located at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, is a 57,000-square-foot facility houses a 20-bed Neuro Intensive Care and Step-Down Unit, four dedicated operating rooms including one equipped with intraoperative MRI and two with intraoperative CT capability, and a biplane angiography suite, a crucial component in the diagnosis and care of neurological conditions. The institute is staffed by a team of clinicians highly trained in all facets of the neurosciences, including stroke, movement disorders, neuro-oncology, epilepsy, memory disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis and spinal conditions.

Delray Medical Center


Tenet HealthCare System’s Delray Medical Center is a 493-bed acute care hospital serving the communities of South Palm Beach County. As both a community hospital and a Level I Trauma Center, DMC has the ability to offer several specialized services including cardiac care, orthopedics, rehabilitation, neurosciences, emergency care and more. Delray Medical Center also has a comprehensive stroke center with 500 stroke admissions per year that works closely with the neuroscience team. Brain Path Technology, CT, Deep Brain Stimulation, Electroencephalogram, Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery, MRI and neurocritical Care are some of the diagnostics and treatments available at Delray Medical Center. In addition, DMC is equipped with a Neuro Intensive Care Unit designed specifically to address the clinical needs of critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients and improve their outcomes. The Neuro ICU is equipped with advanced invasive monitoring and treatment techniques- both mechanical and pharmacological therapies.

St. Mary's Medical Center

St. Mary’s Medical Center, a Tenet Health facility, provides comprehensive medical services for both adults and children. The hospital has over 460 beds, with 17,000 admissions, 117,000 outpatient visits and 47,000 ER visits each year; its dedicated Children’s Hospital, the only such freestanding center in the area, offers a wide array of specialized services, including pediatric surgery a pediatric trauma center and emergency department, neonatal and pediatric critical care services, pediatric cancer services and adolescent bariatrics. St. Mary’s is certified as Level I trauma center and provides emergency and injury care for a higher risk urban population and a significant population of underinsured and urban minority patients. In addition, the hospital houses a comprehensive stroke center, orthopedics and rehabilitation center, and surgical weight loss center. The hospital is Joint Commission accredited and has received n “A” rating by The Leap Frog Group for safety and avoidance of errors. All rotations are fully staffed and supervised by expert faculty surgeons; the residents will be exposed to a model of both full-time employed faculty surgeons, as well as private practice surgeons in a multi-disciplinary and multi-professional team care approach. The residents will complete the following rotations at St Mary’s Medical Center: Pediatric Surgery, and Trauma/Acute Care Surgery. In addition to the clinical rotations, the facility offers access and exposure for the residents in: scholarship and simulation.
