Elaine Van der Put, Ph.D., M.S., M.S.P.H., is the Senior Associate Dean for Administration for the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at FAU, where she oversees strategic planning, facilities, marketing, communications and general operations. She has over twenty years of experience at the Executive level for multinational corporations operating in Latin America as well as in US Academic Medical Centers. Dr Van der Put came from the University of Miami where she held leadership positions at the Miller school of Medicine such as Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Marketing Officer; Chief of Staff for the Dean’s Office; Associate Vice President for Planning and Analysis and Chief of Strategic Operations for the Miami CTSI (Clinical and Translational Science Institute).

Dr. Van der Put has held positions with responsibility for strategic planning, marketing planning, communications, financial planning, budget planning and control for companies such as IBM, Coca-Cola and BAT (British American Tobacco). Her major strengths are analytical thinking and strategy elaboration.

She received her scientific training as an Immunologist at the University of Miami, FL, USA and was involved in basic science research in the field of aging B cell development for several years. Dr Van der Put also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Finance and a Masters in Science in Public Health.
