Affiliate Faculty Appointments

Thank you for expressing interest in becoming an affiliate faculty member of the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. We are proud of our innovative curriculum and our outstanding students, and appreciate the support of our affiliate faculty. Please see the list of the paperwork below that needs to be submitted in order for the formal appointment process to begin.

  1. A cover letter addressed to Dean Julie Pilitsis expressing your interest in teaching – (see sample interest letter)
  2. An updated CV
  3. Two non-partner letters of recommendation (see sample recommendation letter)

Please submit all of your materials to the address, fax, or email below.

Please allow 4-6 weeks processing time Once your appointment has been reviewed by the CAP Committee, you will receive a letter stating your faculty status in the mail. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
